Just Transition Platform Conference – 23-25 October 2023

The eighth edition of the Just Transition Platform (JTP) Conference will take place in Brussels. On 23 October, the Multilevel Dialogue organised by the European Committee of the Regions will take place, followed on 24 and 25 October by core sessions of the JTP Conference.

This hybrid event will be co-hosted by the Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER).

Please register by 28 September 2023 (for in-person participation)!.

In keeping with previous JTP events, the conference will provide a forum for sharing views and experiences on just transition, focusing on the implementation process and taking stock of the achievements so far. Sessions will also focus on topics such as the role of universities, communication, and empowerment of vulnerable groups.

On the first day, 23 October, the Multilevel Dialogue organised by the European Committee of the Regions will take place, followed on 24 and 25 October by core sessions of the JTP Conference.

This event is organised by DG REGIO in co-operation with DG ENER. It will provide a forum for sharing views and experiences on the just transition process to stakeholders from national, local and regional authorities as well as economic and social partners, the wider society and representatives from the European Commission; among them Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira.

As this event will take place in hybrid format, registrations are possible for in-person or virtual attendance (in-person registration requires confirmation due to limits on capacity). The Conference’s sessions will also be live streamed for virtual attendees via Swapcard, as per usual.
